According to PANews, Amazon has entered into an agreement with Talen Energy to utilize 1,920 megawatts (MW) of nuclear power for its web servers and artificial intelligence data centers in Pennsylvania. This agreement is set to last until 2042.

The energy will be generated at Talen's Susquehanna nuclear power plant and will supply Amazon's facilities in the region. Additionally, there are plans to explore small modular reactor (SMR) technology. Instead of direct supply from the nuclear plant, the energy will be delivered through the grid, with Amazon contributing to grid maintenance through service fees.
