Back in 2021 I was making my first couple of crypto DCA's from the money I had leftover from my bike courier job.

At the time my portfolio was less than $1,000.

At the time $DOT was the biggest bag I held alongside $VET.

Buying for $20 and watching it soar to $50, I thought I was a genius.

Four years later and it's trading at under $5.

Reflecting on my early experiences in crypto shows me just how insane 21/22 would have been if I had known what I know now about crypto.

We would be lucky to ever experience something like that again.

Go look at some old charts and what their peak market cap was, Polkadot was legitimately trading at 50BN and people where calling for $1,000+ valuations because of parachains.

I swear my alts where trading higher just after the FTX collapse when btc hit 15k

InfoFi is just another way you can leverage a brand in crypto for $

However, the most lucrative benefits remain the ones you can’t see:

- undisclosed deals
- foot in the door for connections
- network
- reputation / social proof

This is a sign that I should de-risk by reducing position size and bet small(er) on new trends

It’s taken me a few years to understand I have no business managing a large portfolio size

Round tripped everything but the luckiest entry of my life, was in seconds after launch and was still not even close to the first TX.

When crypto was actually PvE it was never mentioned

Although I hope for real PvE times, I’ve learnt through my own losses this:

If never take profit in the first place, it doesn’t matter if a coin is PvP or PvE, you will eventually get dumped on

Learnt over the years to never waste energy in narratives you’re not participating in

Crypto is full of opportunities, some just louder than others, so I respect the guys hustling for their $LOUD @stayloudio allocation

If any protocol is distributing points pre-TGE, there is no proof of concept yet.

I like the better approaches these SocialFi apps are taking, just remember to be realistic post TGE.

Saw many accounts on here full pivot to FriendTech accounts completely blinded to the reality of incentives at play.

SocialFi platforms are additions to your brand not the entirety of it.
