The big vote - Dual Governance - is now live, together with multiple June Snapshot votes.

Dual Governance release is around the corner & the Aragon vote starts this Wednesday.

To make sure that Dual Governance is sane and sound, four layers were audited:
• Specs: mechanism design, proposal lifecycle, critical governance states.
• Code: contracts for signalling escrow, rage quit, timelocks, committees.
• Parameters: thresholds, delays, triggers.
• Deployment & vote: mainnet contracts match audited code, voting script.

A proposal to let Lido Curated Node Operators adopt Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) with either @Obol_Collective or @ssv_network is live.

TLDR:
A proposal to implement DVT at scale to power a portion of the Lido Curated Module and increase protocol decentralisation.

⭐Dual Governance: Contingency Mechanics

Complex mechanisms rarely fail in obvious ways. Instead, multiple low-probability events often align in precisely the wrong way, creating cascading failures. Good design handles most cases automatically while providing escape hatches for when things go sideways.

Dual Governance introduces new coordination tools: Reseal, Tiebreaker & DG Emergency Committees.

They enable recovery from unnoticed technical vulnerabilities, complex unfortunate scenarios, and even full-blown governance stalemates.

These committees are not designed for routine use, but for situations where standard processes fall short. Resilience is the number of contingencies you have a plan for.

@MapleFinance now supports Lido’s stETH for institutional stablecoin lending, enabling institutions to borrow without exiting liquid staking positions.

This expands capital-efficient solutions within DeFi.
