Every prediction market post-Polymarket feels like a cope - same vanilla model + minor tweaks like Apple Pay or chat UI. There’s a wide open space for high-velocity, composable prediction products. Few have tried. FlashDuels plugs it all in. Micro markets, built on @base.

Goldmine for onchain app ideas (esp. if you’re stuck like I was last week): > Read every “Request for Startups” from top players like @alliancedao > Search “feature” in Discord/Telegram of breakout apps - gold in user pain > Make a Twitter list of VCs, founders, ecosystem leads - scan replies weekly for what’s catching their eye This simple loop helped us spot a massive blind spot in FlashDuels’ narrative we hadn’t seen for weeks.

I would’ve sworn off “matcha” forever if my only reference was the stuff at local coffee shops - but luckily I experienced the real deal. Huge thanks to @natn3t for curating one of the best events (and matcha workshop) in crypto.

I may have been shitposting on Matcha as well if I hadn't learned about the authentic Matcha tea preparation. Thanks to @natn3t for organising one of the best experiences and events in crypto.

India lacked a major crypto capital allocator for years. Always puzzled me - so many solid projects, yet no one betting early natively. @HashedEM saw the gap and is seizing it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they become one of the top-performing funds in 5 years on ROI metrics.

Doing 0 --> 1 all over again with FlashDuels by @FilamentFinance has been both humbling and energizing. After the setback w/ Filament Pro, we chose not to rush. Instead, we paused, reflected, and wrote down everything we wanted to do better this time. Top of that list? Picking the right ecosystem to build Flashduels in. For us, that’s clearly @base. It’s where early-stage builders still have a real shot, and a strong support system. We just joined Incubase this week, and already feel the difference. It’s the path of least resistance for any team trying to find product-market fit without drowning in infra debt or noise. We’re thinking of sharing our entire journey of building on Base as a public good - warts, wins, and lessons. If it helps even a few builders avoid the mistakes we made, it’s worth it. Big thanks to @Saxenasaheb, @jessepollak, and @HashedEM for creating space for new dapps like FlashDuels to thrive. Let’s bring the world onchain, and @buildonbase.

So many ‘Gigabrain’ takes on CLOB - the tech. Equally broken understanding that CLOBs don’t solve the core problem of liquidity. The biggest edge of Hyperliquid wasn’t CLOB - dozens of CLOBs existed before them. Some even faster than them. HLP <> OB was the edge.

What are we targeting with Flashduels? > Built for general users, not pros: one-click bidirectional trading on memes, trends and events. > Fun, fast, and social: trading feels like a game, not a complex strategy. > Cultural markets: create & bet on what’s trending in real time - completely customisable and creator-generated. > Repeatable loops: short duels, quick results, trader<>creator incentive alignment, tier unlocks for top users. And @base is the best place to build this.

Been relatively quiet on @FilamentFinance's latest developments. Consolidating, reiterating, and pushing thru friction has been intense, and sharing our experiments felt like added pressure. But we're getting stronger, especially w/ Flashduels launch. Back to bullposting.

“No VC = Fair Launch” Please stop selling the BS narrative and fear god. Stop packaging memecoins or shitcoins, launched after working for a week on it, as fair launch. Of all things $HYPE has done to build momentum, no VC is a small part of the lore.

Moving back to India and spending time with my family and frens who aren’t crypto native has helped a lot in grasping: > What they use on daily basis? > Their pain points > What’s ideal onboarding flow for them? (Hate to break it but just adding Fiat-on-ramp is not enough, users in geographies like India are price sensitive - paying $0.1 for on-ramping $1 isn’t going to work for them) Also, have been able to understand that crypto has a charm of speculation for most - hence they feel it’s gambling only. But I shared some ideas with them and showed them some apps to ask if they would use them - a lot of them actually liked these apps. - @orogoldapp - @pumpdotfun - Streaming feature - @noicedotso Few areas I found extremely underserved when these folks started asking for examples of apps if they exist in crypto: - Travel and Nomadic experiences (mentioned @OnchainCity - but had nothing to show) - Duolingo for crypto - referred “How to DeFi” books but honestly there is no simple app to create a fun experiences for people to learn and be rewarded - Savings or Micro-transactions app - most things I showcased seem to alienate these users

Swapping my timeline with AI teams, hackers and scholars has improved my content value significantly. Crypto is in transformation period and will see a lot of new use-cases by end of this year but CT is the most demoralising place - not taking signal from CT rn.

Funny how most CT accounts became exactly what they once mocked - low-value, extractive, and annoying. Bright side? It's now crystal clear who’d sell their soul for a few dollars. Wild how the once deemed "top" CT accounts turned out to be the worst.

It’s been couple weeks since we started A/B testing with Flashduels. Before we blast the market to everyone, we’re doing a lot of 1:1 feedback sessions. One of the things I am trying - would I use this product aggressively myself. For every market I think twice, we are striking it off. Few things we are focusing on before full launch: > Mobile-friendly UI > Market creation through twitter/farcaster/telegram > Have two net new and curated markets - high demand, low accessibility as of today > Creator <> Trader value loop With dozens of Launchpad launching every month, it is becoming increasing interesting to have platform for customisable and user-owned bidirectional markets. @base seems to be the best ecosystem to start with - users, tooling, easiest on-ramp for users beyond crypto.
