The Shiba Inu community now has a new way to understand the vision of its lead developer. The SHIB team has released all eight episodes of the Shy Speaks SHIB podcast on X, offering direct insight into Shytoshi Kusama’s thoughts and long-term plans for the ecosystem.

A Podcast Featuring Developers and Founders

Launched earlier this year, the series is hosted by Kusama himself. The episodes feature prominent guests, such as Shant Kevonian, CEO of Ethermail. Discussions have covered core themes shaping the SHIB ecosystem – from gamification and privacy to cross-chain bridges and the developer stack behind Shibarium.

Marketing specialist Lucie highlighted that the podcast goes beyond just technical innovations, also addressing the cultural side of the Shiba Inu memecoin, which has been central to its community growth.

Karma: Gamification on Puppynet

One of the key topics is the Karma project, launched earlier this year on Puppynet, the Shibarium testnet. Karma rewards community members with experience points (XP) for completing tasks – from swaps on ShibaSwap to burning SHIB tokens, which yields higher rewards.

Currently, Karma remains in beta, and the team has not yet confirmed when it will roll out on the Shibarium mainnet.

Hoichi Bridge: Connecting Shibarium With DeFi

Another major initiative is Hoichi, launched last month. This cross-chain tool links Shibarium with more than 60 blockchain networks, facilitating interactions across the DeFi ecosystem. As a third-party bridge, Hoichi significantly expands Shibarium’s usability beyond its own boundaries.

FHE Privacy: Next-Generation Data Protection

The FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) initiative also plays a crucial role, bringing advanced privacy and security to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The team partnered with Zama.ai in February 2024 to implement FHE technology.

In one episode, Kusama was joined by Rand Hindin, CEO of Zama.ai, to discuss how FHE could redefine cryptography and privacy across blockchain projects.
