The White House has unveiled a new set of tariff rates targeting imports from multiple countries. Under the revised structure, Swiss goods will be hit with a 39% tariff, while products from Pakistan and Malaysia will each face a 19% duty. Exports from Vietnam and Bangladesh will now be taxed at 20%, and Israeli goods will see a 15% tariff imposed.
In a connected move, President Donald Trump has signed an executive order raising tariffs on Canadian imports from 25% to 35%. This increase is scheduled to take effect on August 1, 2025.
