The price of Ethereum has been trying to break past the $3,800 so it can finally reclaim the $4,000 price range. Today ETH reclaimed $3,900, bringing it one step closer to its goal of reclaiming the $4,000 price region. What’s more, ETH went on to surpass the combined market cap of HSBC and American Express, showing incredible strength and potential, even before setting a new ATH this bull cycle. 

ETH Surpasses the Combined Market Cap of HSBC and American Express

The price of the pioneer altcoin, Ethereum (ETH), recently entered the top 30 global assets, beating out Johnson & Johnson, with its then $416.17 billion market cap. With the rapid institutional accumulation of ETH from giants like BlackRock, Bit Digital, and Sharplink Gaming, Ethereum’s total market cap has increased significantly since then, to hit $ 474.77 billion, where it lies now.

Based on this new total market cap for ETH, the pioneer altcoin asset has surpassed the combined market cap of HSBC and American Express. To clarify, HSBC’s total market cap sits at $167.87 billion while American Express’ total market cap sits at $216.84 billion. Even combined, ETH’s total market cap is leagues ahead, which is a highly bullish factor for the price and potential of Ethereum.  

Over the past month, the price of Ethereum pumped steadily, reclaiming most of the $3,000 price range, until it finally hit a trend high at the $3,800 price mark. Over the last week, the price of ETH fell to the $3,600 price range as it was recovering from a short market dip caused by Galaxy Digital selling its BTC holdings in bulk, and eventually reclaimed the $3,800 price mark.

Soon after, the price of ETH reclaimed the $3,900 price mark, and according to CoinMarketCap data, the price of ETH is well on its way to reclaiming the $4,000 price region, bringing it closer than ever to the $4,800 price area of its previous ATH record set last bull cycle. Analysts believe for now, the price of ETH is working its way to reclaim the $4,200 price range as the next trend target.

As for cycle top price expectations for ETH, most analysts are sure the price of ETH will surge significantly to the $8,000 to $10,000 price range with ease. Others believe that with greater support, the price of ETH will go on to hit a much higher cycle top price, that could go between $12,000 and $15,000, or even so far as $20,000 this bull cycle. While the cycle top price is uncertain, bullish indicators on the ETH price chart signal massive surges soon.
