The move marks a reversal after Binance initially placed the ZEC token under its "Monitoring Tag," indicating elevated risk and the possibility of removal from the exchange. However, after conducting a follow-up review, Binance reversed course and decided to keep the cryptocurrency listed.

The token will be removed from the monitoring tag list on July 9, 2025. Tokens with the monitoring tag demonstrate significantly higher volatility and risks than other listed tokens. These tokens are closely monitored with regular reviews carried out, as they may no longer match Binance's listing criteria and could be delisted from the platform.

In a similar action, Binance will remove four tokens from the seed tag list on July 9. Tokens with the seed tag represent innovative new projects that may have higher volatility and risks than other listed tokens.The four tokens to be removed from the seed tag list are Ethena (ENA), Pyth Network (PYTH), Bittensor (TAO) and Wormhole (W).

Binance will then continue to conduct periodic project assessments to determine whether its decision on the coins ZEC, Ethena (ENA), Pyth Network (PYTH), Bittensor (TAO) and Wormhole (W) will be sustained.
In another update, Binance will temporarily suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the Polygon (POL) network from 1:00 p.m. (UTC) on July 10, 2025, to support its network upgrade and ensure an optimal user experience.
