The user highlighted that industry professionals often travel globally to attend multiple events, which may not align with solving environmental issues but rather serve business or social purposes.
In response, Buterin stated that the environmental cost of preventing the over-concentration of cryptocurrency activities in a single geographic area is acceptable. He emphasized that this trade-off is more favorable compared to the negative impacts of mining.
