Tether has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with South American sustainable agriculture company Adecoagro (NYSE: AGRO) to jointly develop a renewable energy-powered Bitcoin mining project in Brazil. The initiative aims to utilize part of Adecoagro’s 230 MW of renewable energy capacity by redirecting electricity currently sold on the spot market toward Bitcoin mining.
