Succinct 101: The ZK Engine of the Internet 🧵

“What is Succinct and why is everyone talking about it?”

Here’s your no-fluff breakdown 👇

1. @SuccinctLabs is a decentralized prover network.

2. It helps apps prove things using zero-knowledge proofs - meaning you can verify something happened without revealing the actual data.

Think:

→ "I know the answer" - without showing the answer.

→ "This transaction is valid" - without sharing the whole chain of logic.

2. Why it matters?

Generating ZK proofs is hard.

We’re talking GPU clusters, advanced math, high latency.

Succinct makes it easier, faster, and permissionless.

For the first time, anyone can help generate proofs.

3. How Succinct works?

There are two roles:

- Requesters - apps/users that need proofs

- Provers - nodes that generate proofs

The flow:

→ Requester sends a task with criteria, data, and budget

→ Provers join an off-chain auction

→ The one with best offer (lowest price, fastest time) wins

→ Proof is delivered, and verified on Ethereum via smart contracts

4. Proofs go to the market

Provers compete in live auctions.

This model:

- Finds the real market price for proof generation

- Rewards faster code & better hardware

- Increases network scalability and reliability

Over time:

→ More provers = lower costs + higher capacity

5. Where does the token come in?

Most likely used to power payments and incentives for provers, aligning economic value with performance.
