According to PANews, Metaplex reported a significant increase in protocol revenue for August, reaching $2.5 million, marking a six-month high. The majority of this revenue, $2 million or 80%, was generated from token metadata. Genesis contributed $422,000, accounting for 17% of the total, while core business revenue amounted to $71,000, representing 3%. The Genesis revenue saw a 3.4-fold increase from the previous month, largely driven by the CARDS and PORTALS projects. Additionally, Metaplex invested $1.1 million in August to repurchase 6.7 million MPLX tokens, which constitutes 0.7% of the total supply. The company also launched the Genesis Partner Network in collaboration with its ecosystem partners.
