According to PANews, Dutch lithography machine manufacturer ASML has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with French AI company Mistral AI. The collaboration aims to explore the integration of AI models into ASML's products, research, and operations to enhance product performance and accelerate time-to-market for customers.
In a statement released on Tuesday, ASML announced its role as the lead investor in Mistral AI's Series C funding round, committing €1.3 billion. This investment grants ASML approximately an 11% stake, making it the largest shareholder in Mistral AI and securing a seat on Mistral AI's strategic committee. The investment is part of Mistral AI's €1.7 billion funding round, which values the company at approximately €11.7 billion.
