شهدت المواجهة الاقتصادية بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران تطور جديد بعد إعلان وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية مصادرة أصول رقمية إيرانية تُقدر قيمتها بنحو مليار دولار، وهو رقم يفوق بكثير التقديرات السابقة التي تحدثت عن مصادرة ما يقارب 500 مليون دولار فقط.
صرح وزير الخزانة الأمريكي “سكوت بيسنت” خلال مشاركته في منتدى “ريغان” الاقتصادي الوطني لعام 2026، بأن السلطات الأمريكية تعتقد أن إيران كانت تجني ما بين 400 و500 مليون دولار شهريا عبر أنشطة مرتبطة بالتحايل على العقوبات الدولية.
وأوضح “بيسنت” أن الحكومة الأمريكية تمكنت من السيطرة على محافظ رقمية مرتبطة بهذه الأنشطة، مضيفا أن بعض أصحاب تلك المحافظ قد لا يكونون على علم حتى الآن بأن أصولهم أصبحت تحت سيطرة السلطات الأمريكية.
وكان “بيسنت” قد أعلن في أبريل الماضي عن مصادرة ما يقارب 500 مليون دولار من الأصول الرقمية الإيرانية، قبل أن يكشف الآن عن ارتفاع قيمة الأصول المصادرة إلى نحو مليار دولار.
وأكد الوزير أن واشنطن لا تكتفي بتجميد الحسابات المصرفية، بل تعمل أيضا على تقليص رغبة الجهات الدولية في التعامل مع النظام الإيراني، ضمن استراتيجية أوسع لتشديد الضغوط الاقتصادية.
وفي سياق متصل، جدد “بيسنت” تأكيد سياسة الإدارة الأمريكية المتعلقة باحتياطي الأصول الرقمية، موضحا أن الحكومة لا تعتزم شراء البيتكوين من السوق لتوسيع احتياطياتها، بل ستواصل الاعتماد على الأصول المصادرة عبر العمليات القانونية.
وأشار إلى أن الخطوة الأولى كانت التوقف عن بيع البيتكوين المصادَر، قبل إضافة المزيد من الأصول الرقمية الناتجة عن عمليات المصادرة إلى الاحتياطي الاستراتيجي الأمريكي.
وبحسب بيانات منصة “Arkham Intelligence”، تمتلك الحكومة الأمريكية حاليا نحو 328,372 بيتكوين، ما يجعلها أكبر جهة حكومية معروفة من حيث حيازة العملة الرقمية في العالم. وتُقدّر قيمة هذه الحيازات بأكثر من 24 مليار دولار وفق الأسعار الحالية.
