Fragmentation is only fragmentation if the user feels it.
In other words, fragmentation is not really a technical thing but a UX thing.
It doesn't matter that your app is on another chain, it only matters if the users *feels* it bc using your app requires jumping through a bunch of extra hoops.
The more work the user has to do to interact with your application (opening new pages, connecting new wallets, choosing source and destination chains, choosing amounts, signing txs) the more "fragmented" it feels.
The good news is I don't see any fundamental technical reasons why we can't eventually have an identical UX when interacting with apps across chains vs on the same chain.
