The broad point about seed phrases is that with or without there are risks and drawbacks. Because the space is dominated by products that use seed phrases, most discussion has emphasized the advantages of that approach. However, bitcoin is stronger if everyone knows the strengths and weaknesses of each approach.
Neither should be shamed. Putting at least a portion of your coins in either versus leaving all of your coins with a 3rd party custodian is almost certainly better for everyone.
It is good that vendors are introducing the seedless option. Hope to see more including ones that address some of Bitkey's shortcomings. They'd better move fast though as Bitkey continues to improve.
