At first I wasn't paying much attention to Metaplanet. Just seemed like another run of the mill Bitcoin treasury play. Why not just buy MSTR?

Here's the thing: in Japan, Bitcoin is taxed as "miscellaneous income" and subject to a progressive income tax rate up to 55%! 😵‍💫
