Your balances on the Abstract portal will not show the right values until this is resolved, but nothing has actually changed onchain, it's purely a data issue.
As I've mentioned in the past, the Abstract XP system is dynamic.
We initially launched XP with a smaller set of apps, NFTs, and streamers so we tailored the system to that.
Now with the large increase in activity on the chain since we launched, we'll be updating some of the areas that we focus on to better reflect where users spend their time.
We'll do our best to make sure nothing is diluted heavily while still making sure all organic usage is rewarded. We listen to everyone's feedback, so please keep it coming. I know we won't make everyone happy, but it's still valuable to hear your thoughts.
I highly recommend upgrading to the latest version of viem (2.31.0) to speed up your crypto dapps.
The default polling time for transaction receipts was previously 4 seconds which works great for Ethereum mainnet, but not fast EVMs with shorter blocktimes.
Viem will now look at your chain's blocktime and set the polling time based on how fast blocks are, which should make transactions feel faster if the polling time wasn't set explicitly.
We're starting to see several chains rollout their own versions of Abstract Global Wallet.
Which makes me happy because it validates our original thesis behind building AGW:
- No extension download - Sign-in with email/socials/passkey - Smart contract under the hood to enable better/safer UX
As they say, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". This, combined with the high usage of AGW thus far (best retention rate of smart wallets on any EVM chain) have us very excited on the direction of Abstract Global Wallet.
We're already brainstorming what AGW v2 will look like and what features we can add to make the user experience even better.
1) I respect @0x_ultra for trying something new with @stayloudio. I think attention tracking tools like Kaito open up a new design space for distribution and Loud's TGE is the most explicit form of that. Experimentation is good for the space.
2) The copy paste slop content is annoying to read. I know all of you are also tired of reading the same content. But as I like to say, "game is game", and I can't knock anyone for trying to get free tokens.
