💰 In 2011–2013, physical bitcoin coins called Casascius were issued — metal disks with a hologram under which a private key containing originally embedded BTC is placed.

To obtain coins at a regular address, the owner needs to peel off the hologram and import the key. After this, the collectible value disappears — only the metal token remains.

Some owners never activated their coins, viewing them as collectible items.

The 17 largest holders of such Casascius coins potentially have 36,467 BTC (≈$3.65 billion).$BTC $ETH $BNB
