At the end of 2020, a massive cryptocurrency scam disguised as a Japanese project named TOSI was established in Da Nang. A group of 4 individuals created a 'fake' website, heavily promoted it through YouTube, seminars, live streams, and a multi-level marketing scheme to attract investors' money. All the money went directly into their personal wallets. When the scheme collapsed, they deleted the data and set up a new project to continue deceiving investors. More than 8,000 victims, with the amount embezzled exceeding 90 billion VND. The police have arrested all of them, confiscating dozens of electronic devices and a huge data warehouse.
