Brothers, recently I’ve been so focused on completing YGG tasks that I’ve encountered an awkward problem. It’s really not feasible to go solo anymore. Our team is outputting at full capacity, everyone is a hardcore player, but our progress is stuck halfway. After reviewing, I realized we lack a true 'healer' role.
To navigate the current YGG ecosystem, you first need to understand that its logic has changed. The days of grinding alone or casually teaming up with a few people to earn rewards are gone. The current guild advancement plan, known as GAP, increasingly emphasizes strategy and team cooperation. Just like in the latest season 10 event, which introduced new games like LOL Land and Wildcard, the task design is very multidimensional, requiring players with different skills to collaborate effectively. You’ll find that some tasks require long hours online, some need community influence, and others test information gathering and analytical skills.
This brings us to the core issue of our team, which is also a common problem for many small teams: a serious imbalance in role allocation. Our team is full of 'DPS', all eager to take on those operational tasks with direct feedback, but no one is willing to do the mundane yet crucial support work. For instance, no one is studying the point-cost effectiveness of each task in detail, no one is doing promotional tasks in other communities, and even fewer are keeping up with the latest official updates to plan ahead. This reminds me of my early days in the scene when I led a team in a chain game competition; we also had an all-star output lineup and were ultimately dragged down by a well-balanced team using tactics. The fundamental reason is that we all want to be heroes, but forget that any team needs logistics and support. The one responsible for intelligence, helping everyone plan their time, and calculating profits is the true 'healer'.
In the current YGG task system, the 'healer' role can be diverse. He can be a data analyst, clearly calculating the input-output ratio of all tasks with spreadsheets, guiding the team on which tasks to prioritize; he can also be a community diplomat, responsible for networking across various communities to exchange rare information or collaboration opportunities; he might even be a content creator, turning our task completion process into interesting videos, fulfilling those rewarding promotional tasks. These jobs may seem insignificant, but they precisely determine how far a team can go and how big a piece of the pie they can eat. YGG is also encouraging more professional and diverse team collaborations through its on-chain guild model.
So, the era of solo combat really is over. YGG is building a vast, multi-layered gaming economy, not just a simple gold farming platform. The future belongs to specialized teams that understand collaboration and complementary roles. The 'healer' we are looking for is not just a healer in the game, but also the tactical core and glue of our team.
When you are grinding YGG tasks, what do you think is the most indispensable role in the team? Is it the brave warrior charging into battle, or the strategist planning from behind the scenes? Share your thoughts in the comments.
