According to Wu, the GoPlus Chinese community has stated that this morning, the Balancer attacker authorized the transfer of approximately 19.5 million stS (around 3 million USD) from the address 0xf19…fae2, which was originally frozen by Sonic, to the new address 0x0e9c…44D5 via permit(). GoPlus pointed out that since this freezing occurred at the native chain level, it only affects S and does not impact other ERC20 tokens; furthermore, stS supports permit() off-chain signatures, allowing authorization to be completed without the frozen address paying S, rendering the freeze effectively void.
