#BinanceHODLerFF Here you have the most updated information I found about Falcon Finance (token FF), its functions, tokenomics, risks, and what to keep in mind.
📘 What is Falcon Finance and what is FF used for?
1️⃣ Falcon Finance
It is an infrastructure designed to allow many types of liquid assets such as cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and even some classes of real-world assets (tokenized, RWAs: real-world assets) to be used as collateral to generate on-chain liquidity, with its synthetic stablecoin USDf.
2️⃣ Token USDf
USDf is Falcon's synthetic stablecoin, overcollateralized, meaning that the backing assets are of greater value than the amount of USDf issued, to maintain stability and solvency. There is also sUSDf, which is the version that generates yield from staking USDf.
3️⃣ FF — The token
It functions as a governance and utility token within the Falcon ecosystem. With it, users can vote, participate in protocol decisions.
It also serves for staking: by staking FF (or sFF, if that version exists), users unlock higher benefits, better performance, additional rewards (in USDf or FF), and other privileges within the protocol.
Owning FF grants access to exclusive features, early entry into certain products, and rewards for active users (those who mint, stake, participate, etc.).
⚙️ Tokenomics (how it is distributed and the supply)
Total supply: 10 billion FF tokens.
Distribution: Destination/Percentage
Ecosystem (growth, integrations, future expansions)~ 35 %
Foundation (“FF Foundation”)~ 32.2 %
Core team / early contributors 20% (with vesting/cliff: there are periods of “lock” before they can dispose of all tokens)
Community airdrops and launch sale on launchpad (Community Sale / Launchpad)~ 8.3 %
Marketing~ 8.2 %
External investors (seed / early investors)~ 4.5 %
The Foundation (FF Foundation) was created to separate the token governance from the development operated by the core team, with clear unlocking rules (token unlocks), transparency, audits, and design to minimize the risk of malpractice.
The community sale (Community Sale / IDO) on Buidlpad was US$ 4 million and was 100% unlocked at TGE (Token Generation Event).
There was a lot of interest: the presale/community sale was oversubscribed (“oversubscribed”) as people committed much more money than what was offered.
⚠️ Risks / What to verify
Although Falcon Finance seems to have good structure, transparency, etc., there are several important points to consider before investing:
🔻 Volatility: Like any new token, quite high. Prices can rise sharply, but also fall quickly if demand does not hold.
🔻 Real adoption: Having interest is good, but the most important thing is how many users actually use USDf, how many stake, if there is sufficient liquidity, if there are integrations with other protocols, etc.
🔻 Regulation: Projects dealing with real assets (RWAs) or synthetic stablecoins may be under more regulatory scrutiny. How they handle governance, audits, transparency, reserves, etc., will be vital. Falcon Finance seems aware of this with the foundation and transparency dashboard.
🔻 Competition: There are other similar protocols in DeFi, synthetic stablecoins, etc. Being able to differentiate themselves, provide value, security, usability will be key.
🔻 Scams / imitations: Always ensure you have the correct contract address, buy only on trusted platforms, verify certifications/audits, etc.
