Brazil-based treasury firm OranjeBTC has revealed a landmark purchase of 3,650 BTC, valued at approximately $385 million at an average price of $105,300 per BTC since June. With this acquisition, OranjeBTC has officially overtaken Meliuz (which holds 604.7 BTC) to become the largest corporate Bitcoin holder in both Brazil and the broader Latin American region.

Strategic Positioning
Founded by Guilherme Gomes, a former partner at Bridgewater Associates, OranjeBTC is positioning itself as a “pure-play” Bitcoin treasury company—different from firms like Meliuz, which operates primarily as a cashback platform. Backed by heavyweight investors including Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (Gemini), Adam Back, FalconX, and Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas, the company has quickly gained credibility and scale
IPO & Future Plans
OranjeBTC plans to go public in early October through a reverse IPO on Brazil’s B3 exchange, leveraging Intergraus, a school network, as the vehicle for the listing. Alongside its treasury operations, the firm intends to use Intergraus’s infrastructure to offer crypto education programs, bringing financial literacy and Bitcoin-focused knowledge to a broader audience.
Speaking with Brazil Journal, Gomes emphasized OranjeBTC’s mission:
“We are bringing Latin America its first publicly traded company 100% focused on Bitcoin, with the goal of building the largest possible Bitcoin balance sheet — and with a strong emphasis on investor education.”
The Bigger Picture
OranjeBTC’s aggressive accumulation strategy mirrors the approach pioneered by Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy in the United States. Gomes believes this is just the beginning of a broader wave in the region, forecasting that banks and insurance companies will soon follow suit.
“This is the start of a new industry. Across Latin America, there is still no company fully dedicated to this model. We aim to change that.”
👉 With OranjeBTC’s bold move, Latin America now has its first true Bitcoin-native treasury giant, setting the stage for institutional adoption across the region.
