SEC + CFTC What is the real turning point for U.S. Crypto?
For the first time, the SEC and CFTC have come together and stated that spot crypto trading on U.S. exchanges is possible under certain conditions. Not only that, both agencies are now trying to create a common framework by removing duplicate and conflicting rules.
This will have a direct impact on builders and investors. When the rules are clear and predictable, new projects and capital will return to the U.S. market. Until now, regulatory uncertainty and the fear of enforcement had pushed crypto out.
From a trader's perspective, the biggest issue was the ambiguity regarding which token is a security and which is a commodity. This ambiguity had suppressed both liquidity and confidence.
If the SEC and CFTC can clarify the roadmap together, trust, liquidity, and depth in the market will increase. And most importantly, crypto will finally have an environment for long-term stable growth.
But the truth is: nothing will change with just press statements. Action and execution will be the real test. If successful, U.S. crypto will not only survive but can take global leadership.
