Friends, I have some unpleasant news. Two new draft laws — №14025 and №14026 — have been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
In short: all your income from digital platforms will now be automatically reported to the State Tax Service (DPS).
👉 What does this mean?
Platforms like Airbnb, Uber, Bolt, Glovo, OLX and others will be required to send yearly reports about your income directly to the DPS.
You won’t even need to file a declaration yourself — the system will calculate everything automatically.
If you earn abroad (for example, freelancing or renting on foreign platforms), foreign tax services will also share this info with Ukraine. Hiding will no longer work.
👉 Who will it affect?
Basically, anyone who earns through apps:
Renting apartments, offices, parking places
Providing services (tutoring, manicure, etc.)
Selling goods online
Renting out cars or other transport
So, almost every second Ukrainian who has ever “earned a little extra through an app” falls under this.
👉 What taxes?
The government offers a “carrot”:
5% preferential tax rate if you:
• are not registered as an entrepreneur
• don’t hire employees
• use a separate bank account for this income
• don’t earn more than ~6.7 million UAH a year (in 2025)
If you don’t meet these rules → you’ll pay the standard 18% income tax + military tax.
Very small incomes (up to ~36,000 UAH/year) won’t be taxed.
👉 Banks also involved
At DPS request, banks must provide info on such accounts. So, if you’re on the preferential regime — every penny will be monitored.
👉 And what about crypto?
The state sees billions in the digital economy. Just like crypto is now under transparency rules, the same applies to all platforms. Playing “in the gray” is becoming too risky.
📌 Bottom line:
Ukraine is joining the global trend of strict control over digital income. Extra online earnings will now officially be part of the economy. Better to be informed than to get caught unprepared.
I’ll continue breaking these changes down step by step. Subscribe here, on Binance Square, and on X so you don’t fall into the trap of ignorance.
