DOLO (commonly known as Dolo-650) is a widely used paracetamol (acetaminophen) tablet mainly prescribed to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain such as headaches, muscle aches, toothaches, and menstrual cramps. Each tablet typically contains 650 mg of paracetamol. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins in the brain, which are chemicals responsible for pain and fever. Dolo is considered safe when taken in recommended doses, but overdose can harm the liver. It is often used as part of treatment for common cold, flu, or post-vaccination fever. Dolo should be taken after meals and only under medical guidance.
