Google and big Crypto companies cooperate, paving the way for the AI payment era
Google has just announced a new open-source payment protocol that allows AI agents (#AIAgent ) to conduct financial transactions. This initiative, called the Agent Payments protocol, has received support from major players in both traditional finance (such as PayPal, American Express) and crypto (such as Coinbase, Ethereum Foundation, MetaMask).
Convergence of traditional and decentralized finance
The goal of this protocol is to create a "common language" for secure and compliant transactions between AI agents and users, regardless of the platform or currency type. The protocol supports payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and importantly, stablecoins. Google has also launched a crypto-specific extension called x402, developed with contributions from #EthereumFoundation and other partners.
Opening opportunities for the Crypto ecosystem
This collaboration is an extremely positive signal, showing that crypto is increasingly being integrated into advanced technologies like AI. The new protocol not only creates a safe environment for AI agents to transact with each other but also opens a large door for stablecoins and other digital assets. It reinforces the belief that blockchain will play a core role in the future AI economy, driving widespread acceptance and application of crypto in everyday life. #anh_ba_cong
