Ethereum surges in staking demand: Over 3.7 billion USD ETH waiting in line
The queue to become a validator of Ethereum ($ETH ) has reached its highest level since September 2023, with 860,000 ETH (≈ 3.7 billion USD) "waiting in line" for staking, according to data from Everstake. Processing the queue may take up to 14 days, due to a mechanism that only allows 900 new validators to join each day.
Experts believe this wave stems from strong capital inflows into ETH treasury management companies, such as BitMine Immersion and SharpLink, which often manage #staking ETH on behalf of investors. BitMine alone has increased its holdings to 8.1 billion USD ETH, aiming to control 5% of the total Ethereum supply. SharpLink has also raised over 500 million USD in its latest funding round to accumulate ETH staking, increasing its total holdings to 3.6 billion USD ETH.
In addition, Ethereum network fees have decreased by nearly 40% in the past month, making staking more attractive even as network activity reaches record levels. Meanwhile, capital flow from #ETFEthereum has also exceeded 13 billion USD, reinforcing long-term demand.
Currently, ETH is trading at 4,416 USD, up 4.6% in 24 hours. A survey on Myriad Linea shows that 77% of investors believe ETH will reach 5,000 USD by the end of this year.
⚠️ Risk warning: While staking and ETFs present profitable opportunities, investors should be aware of price volatility risks, lock-up periods, and potential legal factors that may change in the future. #anh_ba_cong
