The proposed exchange-traded fund is designed to provide organized trading and yield on $BNB , the native currency of the #Binance platform.
🔹 Structure and allocation
Investing at least 80% of assets directly in BNB or through a subsidiary in the Cayman Islands.
The remaining portion may include exchange-traded funds or investment products linked to BNB.
It provides scalable and compliant access for institutional and individual investors in the United States.
🔹 Staking integration
BNB will be stored on the Binance chain, which uses a Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA) consensus.
The expected annual return for the temporary allocation: from 1.5% to 3%.
Anchorage Digital Bank has been appointed as the custodian for BNB, staking tokens, and compliance.
This makes it one of the first ETFs to offer an integrated yield, similar to proposed Ethereum ETFs that support staking.
How does this differ from the current BNB Trust fund from Osprey?
In 2024, Osprey launched the BNB Chain Trust, but with key restrictions:
For accredited investors only
Minimum investment of $10,000
Regulatory rules set the illiquid asset ratio at 15%, limiting the full deployment of staking
The new REX-Osprey ETF removes these barriers:
Open to all investors
No minimum investment
Full integration of staking under a structure compliant with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
It is a true gateway for individuals and institutions to BNB.
The race for BNB ETF funds heats up
The REX-Osprey fund is not the only one. This demand follows VanEck's proposal for a BNB ETF in May 2025, the first of its kind.
Many asset managers are now competing for approval, indicating increasing demand for alternative exchange-traded funds (ALTCO) other than $BTC and $ETH . 🚀 Why BNB?
Market capitalization exceeding $88 billion - one of the largest cryptocurrency assets
Useful in decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, payments, and Web3
Strong adoption from institutions and companies (such as Windtree Therapeutics and BNC)
Ongoing network updates (Maxwell and zkBNB)
With Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs attracting billions of dollars monthly, BNB is next on the list.
