The Solana Policy Institute commits to providing $500,000 in defense funds for Tornado Cash developers

According to reports, the Solana Policy Institute has committed to providing $500,000 in legal defense funds for two developers of the decentralized privacy service Tornado Cash, Roman Storm and Alexey Pertsev. Storm was convicted in the United States for developing this privacy service, and Pertsev was convicted in the Netherlands. Several large donations have already been made to support Storm's legal defense, and this commitment from the Solana Policy Institute is particularly commendable, as the organization does not originate from the Ethereum ecosystem that initially deployed Tornado Cash.
