The company Finastra, a software provider for the largest banks in the world, announced a strategic partnership with Circle, the issuer of the stablecoin $USDC . As part of the collaboration, USDC will be integrated into the Global PAYplus (GPP) solution.

The goal of the partnership is to implement USDC in cross-border payment flows. At the same time, GPP will be the first Finastra solution to integrate the stablecoin.

The platform serves 45 of the 50 largest banks in the world, providing connectivity with payment systems such as #Swift , #SEPA , ACH. The release emphasizes that GPP processes cross-border transfers worth $5 trillion daily.

Integrating USDC into this solution will allow banks to use the stablecoin while maintaining the infrastructure for fiat. Primarily, this innovation aims to reduce counterparties' reliance on traditional correspondent banking chains, speeding up settlement times.
