Hacker arrested for threatening Felca claims he was receiving cryptocurrencies for services

The hacker Cayo Lucas Rodrigues dos Santos, arrested on Monday (25) in Olinda (PE) on suspicion of threatening YouTuber Felca, told the police that he used to receive payments in cryptocurrencies for the illegal services he provided. He also mentioned that he accumulated about R$ 500,000 in cryptocurrencies, an amount that was seized by authorities in June of this year.

According to information obtained by G1, Cayo denied being responsible for the intimidation against the influencer, but admitted to hacking public agencies' systems to sell data and offer illegal facilities, such as manipulation of SUS and Federal Revenue records, in addition to blocking bank accounts.

The hacker reported that he accumulated a large amount of cryptocurrencies by improperly accessing platforms such as Polícia Ágil (Pernambuco's Department of Social Defense), CadSUS (federal government), and Cerebrum (Ceará's Department of Security). He also sold databases on Telegram for up to R$ 50,000.

According to the testimony, one of Cayo's main activities was to defraud the National Prison Monitoring Bank (BNMP), issuing false release warrants for about R$ 15,000 each. The hacker claimed to have conducted more than 50 operations of this kind, circumventing the system.

In the same operation by Pernambuco's police that arrested Cayo in Olinda, the police also detained Paulo Vinicios Oliveira Barbosa, who was caught with open access to the Polícia Ágil system on his computer. According to the hacker, the friend only made queries, receiving R$ 20 per access.

Felca Case

The police are also investigating Cayo's involvement in a group that exploited children and adolescents through "challenges" on social networks. According to São Paulo's Secretary of Security, Guilherme Derrite, the hacker even sold child abuse material on the internet.

This involvement may have motivated the threats sent to Felca after the YouTuber published a denunciation video about the topic at the beginning of the month, where he exposed profiles and influencers accused of encouraging the sexualization of children and adolescents on the internet.

The recording also pointed to the existence of an organized network profiting from this type of exploitation and drew attention to the responsibility of platforms in curbing such practices. Felca stated that he dedicated about a year to research and prepare the content, due to the sensitivity of the topic.
