The Alpenglow proposal from Solana moves to the community voting phase
According to Foresight News, the new proposal of the Solana consensus protocol, Alpenglow (SIMD-0326), has moved to the community voting phase. The voting period is set from Epoch 840 to 842, with each epoch lasting approximately two days. For the proposal to be approved, it requires two-thirds of the total votes, combining both 'for' and 'against' votes. Currently, the approval rate stands at around 9.84%, while the dissent rate is approximately 0.12%. The Alpenglow proposal aims to reduce the block finalization time from 12.8 seconds to nearly 150 milliseconds.
