BlockBeats news, on August 27, MANTRA officially announced a buyback of $25 million worth of OM tokens, supported by major investors and stakeholders. This adds to the previous $20 million investment from Inveniam, bringing the total committed funds to $45 million.
The buyback program will be executed by MANTRA AG, transparently repurchasing through multiple centralized exchanges at near market prices over the coming months. The repurchased OM tokens will be withdrawn from the exchanges as ERC20 tokens, then migrated to the MANTRA mainnet and staked to validator nodes. Based on current prices, the buyback program involves approximately 110 million OM tokens, accounting for about 10% of the circulating supply.
