【Nomura: The next round of monetary policy easing in Asia may begin soon】Golden Finance reports that Nomura economists and analysts wrote in a report that the next round of monetary policy easing in Asia may begin soon. Most Asian central banks have recently adopted a wait-and-see approach after lowering interest rates to neutral levels and in light of the more favorable equivalent tariff rates in the U.S. compared to those announced in April. However, they stated that disappointing economic growth, weak inflation, and alleviated concerns about financial stability may prompt Asian central banks to ease monetary policy. In our view, there is a general expectation that the Federal Reserve will start cutting interest rates from September, which provides another trigger point for central banks in Asia to loosen their policies. Nomura Securities expects further rate cuts in India, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia.
