Trump Media & Technology Group, Yorkville Acquisition, and Crypto.com have agreed to create a new company — Trump Media Group CRO Strategy. Its task is to accumulate a large reserve of the CRO token, which is the foundation of the Cronos ecosystem.
Deal parameters
The new structure will be formed through a merger with the SPAC company Yorkville Acquisition. Its capital will include:
$1 billion in CRO tokens (6.3 billion coins, almost 19% of the market capitalization at the time of the announcement)
$200 million in cash
$220 million through the exercise of warrants
$5 billion credit line from an affiliated company, Yorkville
The final volume makes Trump Media Group CRO Strategy the largest public digital treasury in the world relative to the market value of the asset.
Listing and ownership structure
Yorkville plans to change its stock ticker to MCGA even before the merger is completed. After the deal, the shares will transfer to the new company.
The founders of Yorkville, Trump Media, and Crypto.com have committed to maintaining their shares for at least a year, and full access to the papers will only be granted according to a phased schedule over three years.
Why the bet on Cronos
The CRO token will become the central asset of the treasury. The Cronos network is built as a scalable infrastructure for smart contracts, characterized by low costs and integration with Crypto.com services.
