🏦 President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he will soon secure a majority of his nominees for the Federal Reserve Board, which will help him fulfill his desire to lower interest rates. His statement came during a cabinet meeting just hours after he took the unprecedented step of firing Lisa Cook, a board member appointed by former President Joe Biden.

• Trump indicated that he has already appointed two of the seven board members and is preparing to appoint a third member to replace Adriana Kugler, who announced her intention to resign.

• He added: "Once we have the majority, the housing sector will see a significant improvement... people are paying extremely high interest rates, and that is our only problem. We need to lower interest rates a little."
