CI Global, a Canadian asset management company, has announced the launch of a series of digital asset investment funds, including a fund that directly invests in Solana, the CI Solana Fund. In addition, the company has also launched a core multi-currency ETF that invests in BTC, ETH, and SOL.
The pace of institutional entry has never stopped and is becoming increasingly segmented. From initially only daring to touch Bitcoin, to later including Ethereum, now even Solana has its own dedicated institutional-level fund. This marks that Solana has moved out of the narrative of being the 'ETH killer' and has officially become a part of mainstream institutional asset allocation.
On one hand, this brings new incremental funds and liquidity to SOL, and on the other hand, it indicates that institutions are recognizing high-performance public chains more. In the future, we may see more fund products targeting specific L1s or tracks, and crypto investment is becoming increasingly specialized and diversified.
