The United States rejected on Monday to retract the claims of its ambassador that its ally France is not doing enough to combat anti-Semitism, after Paris summoned him.
U.S. State Department spokesperson, Tommy Pigott, said about Ambassador Charles Kushner, father of Ivanka Trump's husband: "We stand by his comments."
Pigott added: "Ambassador Kushner is our U.S. government representative in France, and he is doing a great job of promoting our national interests in this role."
