The United States rejected on Monday to retract the claims of its ambassador that its ally France is not doing enough to combat anti-Semitism, after Paris summoned him.
U.S. State Department spokesman, Tommy Piggott, said about Ambassador Charles Kushner, the father of Ivanka Trump's husband: "We stand by his remarks".
Piggott added: "Ambassador Kushner is our U.S. government representative in France, and he is doing a great job in promoting our national interests through this role".
