BlockBeats news, on August 25, Citigroup strategist Jason Williams said in a report that Citigroup has slightly updated some of its predictions for the year-end yield levels of U.S. Treasuries, but is very confident in its long-standing forecast for the 10-year Treasury yield.

He said the agency still expects the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield to reach 4.10% by year-end, consistent with predictions made since last year. However, Citigroup has moderately updated other benchmarks to better align with its views on a steeper curve and lower policy rate expectations for 2026. Citigroup's new baseline forecast for the 2-year U.S. Treasury yield is 3.50%; for the 5-year Treasury yield it is 3.65%, and for the 30-year Treasury yield it is 4.70%. (Jin Shi)
