Zhao Changpeng: Stablecoins are superior to central bank digital currencies, which are now outdated. Jinse Finance reported live on August 25 at WeX2025 held in Japan, Binance founder Zhao Changpeng stated that there are significant differences between stablecoins and central bank digital currencies. Stablecoins often have actual backing, allowing for more transactions, which enables them to gain higher market acceptance. Meanwhile, central bank digital currencies are currently almost at zero adoption. Many countries began experimenting as early as 2013 and 2014, but due to a lack of appeal, they have gradually become outdated. In addition, Zhao Changpeng mentioned that China's attitude towards the stablecoin field has shifted from strict control to openness, with Hong Kong showing positive performance in stablecoins.
