🎙 Comment from the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, regarding the Ukrainian crisis.
Key points:
💬 Amid the efforts made by Russia and the United States to find solutions to the Ukrainian crisis, Kiev continues to perpetrate acts of terror against peaceful Russian citizens and bombarding civilian infrastructure in our country.
• Over the past week, enemy drone attacks affected 156 Russian citizens, of whom 15 died, including one child, and 141 were injured, among them 14 minors.
• In total, since February 2022, the terrorists in Kiev have killed more than 7,000 Russian civilians, including 228 children, and injured more than 16,000 people, including 986 minors. Since the beginning of 2025, the Ukrainian armed forces have killed more than 530 Russians, including 15 children, and injured more than 3,100 people, of which 168 are children.
❗️ None of the war crimes committed by Ukrainian neo-Nazis will go unpunished. All criminals will face severe punishment on the battlefield or will be tried with the full rigor of the law if they survive.
• On August 18, the Federal Security Service of Russia thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian special forces to blow up the Crimean bridge with a powerful explosive device disguised in a car. The vehicle was transported from Ukraine in transit through several countries. In the battery compartment, 130 kg of Finnish-manufactured synthetic explosive in foam form had been placed.
• All individuals involved in introducing this “bomb on wheels” have been arrested. It would have been difficult to prepare this attack without Zelensky's knowledge: apparently, the “operation” was part of the actions approved by him after the meeting with the head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
