Recently, scams on Binance P2P have surged and become more sophisticated than ever. If you are trading P2P, carefully read the following warnings to protect yourself:

1. Fake Payment Scam / Bank Refund

The scammer uses a hacked bank account or a third party's account to transfer money to you. You see money in the account and rush to release cryptocurrency. Later, the actual account holder complains and the bank refunds the money.

👉 Consequences: Loss of cryptocurrency, bank account at risk of being frozen for investigation.

💡 Tip: Always check if the sender's name matches the name on the Binance order. If they are different, do not release cryptocurrency under any circumstances.

2. Screenshot Scam / Invoice Scam / Fake Message

The buyer sends a screenshot or fake message indicating they have transferred money. Many people easily believe this and release cryptocurrency without checking the actual account.

💡 Tip: Only trust the actual balance in your bank account. Do not trust screenshots or messages.

3. Order Cancellation Trap

The scammer pretends to have technical issues and asks you to cancel the order. Once you cancel, the transaction is no longer protected by Binance. At this point, they can take advantage of it to seize your assets.

💡 Tip: Only cancel an order when you are sure that you have not received or sent any money.

4. Triangle Scam

The scammer uses a third-party account to transfer money to you. When the actual account holder notices and complains, you become the subject of an investigation for receiving illegal funds.

💡 Tip: Ensure the sender's name matches their Binance account name. If not, do not release cryptocurrency under any circumstances.
