U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated in an interview with NBC that the White House does not believe that the conflict in Ukraine will be resolved 'overnight', but hopes that peace will be achieved no later than in six months.
In his opinion, the main issue that needs to be resolved now is the territorial question and security guarantees. 'Ukrainians will ultimately make the decision about where to draw territorial boundaries in their country,' Mr. Vance said.
Currently, EU countries and Ukraine, in coordination with the U.S., are developing security guarantees. These include, among other things, the deployment of military contingents from various countries to Ukrainian territory. The Russian side is categorically opposed to the presence of foreign troops in any format in Ukraine.
