Ethereum-based Xai game network sues xAI for trademark infringement
According to reports from Hash World, Xai is a game network based on Ethereum that has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI, accusing it of violating trademark rights and engaging in unfair competition. The lawsuit has been filed in the Northern District Court of California, alleging that the market confusion caused by Musk's xAI company has harmed the Xai brand. Ex Populus, a company from Delaware, stated that they have been using the XAI trademark in the U.S. through their blockchain gaming ecosystem and $XAI token since June 2023. According to the lawsuit documents, the Xai ecosystem operated by Ex Populus includes a blockchain network based on video games and digital transactions, providing infrastructure to support game logic, AI-driven decision-making, rewards, and cross-application data management.
