This round of the bull market is quite strange.
Firstly, $BTC and $ETH shot up directly without any hesitation, basically moving up without any pullbacks, which left many people missing out.
Secondly, what performed were the previously dormant Ethereum series altcoins, which suddenly soared unexpectedly, catching everyone off guard, and then dropped straight down.
Many of the ones that people were optimistic about hardly moved at all, especially those mene coins that were booming in the first half of the bull market.
In this round, there are very few people actually in the game.
Or rather, precisely because there are so few people in the game, the manipulators can perform their antics so recklessly.
Looking back at the various waves of this bull market, you'll notice a clear change in rhythm.
In the ancient times, because there was no leverage, BTC generally rose continuously.
Later, with the introduction of leveraged contracts, manipulators could profit from both rising and falling, and their methods changed to mindless spikes.
Now, as the market size has grown, especially with the rise of quantitative grids, in order to eliminate this part of the traders, BTC moves directly up or down, and sideways means a reversal; if you trade in segments, it means you have to get out.
Even less friendly are the altcoins.
Yes, every round of altcoins has its myths of dozens of times gains, but in 2017, the entire market soared; by 2021, about half of them took off, and this time, less than 5% are soaring. The difficulty of picking the right ones has increased exponentially, and if you choose poorly, you might miss out completely.
This is also the reason I mentioned earlier about the diminishing returns.
