In the current decentralized finance (DeFi) market, there are abundant yield opportunities, but issues such as high volatility, scattered interest rates, and lack of unified benchmarks are prevalent. This makes it difficult for investors to achieve long-term, predictable returns. The goal of the Treehouse protocol is to establish a stable and transparent fixed income infrastructure.
Treehouse's design has two key components: tAssets and DOR.
tAssets (yield-enhanced staked assets): After users deposit staked assets such as ETH and stETH, the protocol converts them into tAssets. Unlike traditional staking, tAssets combine arbitrage and circular staking strategies, such as borrowing low-interest funds against staked assets and reinvesting them to compound returns. In this way, the value of tAssets will steadily increase over time, offering higher returns than regular LSTs. Meanwhile, tAssets remain composable and can be used as collateral or to participate in other DeFi protocols, further enhancing capital efficiency.
DOR (Decentralized Obligation Rate): Treehouse proposes DOR to address the lack of transparent interest rate benchmarks in DeFi. Unlike LIBOR in traditional finance (which is centralized and easily manipulated), DOR generates an interest rate curve through multi-role participation and game theory. Operators, predictors, and delegators jointly submit data, and correct predictions are rewarded while incorrect or malicious actions are punished. The resulting interest rates are transparent and fair, serving as a unified reference standard for the DeFi market, providing a foundation for lending, bond, and derivative pricing.
Additionally, Treehouse has launched the GoNuts incentive program, encouraging users to hold tAssets, provide liquidity, engage in the ecosystem, and collect NFTs. All contributions will earn point rewards, which can be exchanged for incentives in the future.
The protocol's native token TREE is the core of the ecosystem, serving both governance functions and as an incentive tool, ensuring the organic integration of tAssets, DOR, and community incentives. According to the plan, TREE will officially complete its TGE on July 29, 2025.
In summary, the Treehouse protocol enhances yield efficiency through tAssets, builds interest rate benchmarks with DOR, and links the TREE with GoNuts to the community, creating a predictable, transparent, and scalable fixed income infrastructure for DeFi.
