Interpol conducted operation "Serengeti 2.0"
The operation affected 18 African countries and was aimed at combating cybercrime.
In Angola, the police shut down 25 illegal cryptocurrency mining centers, in Zambia – a fraudulent cryptocurrency pyramid worth $300 million, and in Côte d'Ivoire - a fake inheritance scam.
A total of 1209 people were arrested during "Serengeti 2.0" and $97.4 million was seized.
